Social Contribution Activity Policy
To become a company that is widely supported and loved by the local community by fulfilling the role of good corporate citizen through business and social activities, Futaba focuses its activities on the three key global areas - environmental protection, community activity, and people development (youth development and community welfare) - to contribute to the local community as an organization. Futaba also supports corporate contribution activities where employees take initiative in creating sustainable society. In addition, we will proactively dispatch information regarding outcome of our social contribution activities to build trust with stakeholders.

We are working on better local environmental conservation activities aiming for the coexistence of people and nature.

Futaba Environmental Course（Japan）
We have held Futaba Environmental Courses for employees' families at Torikawa-cho, Okazaki City since 2020. The courses provide opportunities to learn about biodiversity through classroom study and biological surveys of rivers. We have concluded partnership agreement which Okazaki-city and Torikawa Hotaru (firefly) Preserve Association. The agreement relates to coexistence with nature at Torikawa Hotaru (firefly) village and we are cooperating with activites for protecting environment.

Tree planting（China and India）
Aiming for environmental preservation, we are conducting tree-planting activities at overseas bases.

Futaba is working on the activation of traffic safety and local activities through interaction with local communities.

Traffic Safety Classes（Japan）
As an automotive parts manufacturer, our company has been conducting traffic safety classes since 2023 for local elementary school students in grades 1 through 5. The purpose is to raise awareness about traffic safety among children, who generally have low levels of traffic safety awareness.

Cooperation with Food Drive（Japan）
We are partipating to food drive activity which organized by Okazaki-city and Toyota-city as one of social contributions. We are collecting and distributing food provided by our employees and daily necessities. We also distribute purchased rice by matching funds with employees and company.

We are working on the development of children through sports and monozukuri. In addition, we are providing support to people with disabilities, nursing homes, etc., and working on the improvement of opportunities for participation in social activities.
Youth Development

Futaba Industrial Youth Baseball Competition（Japan）
Futaba has held a rubber ball baseball youth tournament in cooperation with the Okazaki city and the Okazaki R.B.B Society since FY2010, aimed at the healthy development of young people and the improvement of their physical strength and skills.

Science and Monozukuri Course（Japan）
Futaba has held Science and Monozukuri Courses at nearby elementary schools since 2021 with the aim of children having an interest in science and monozukuri, and learning how fun and important they are.
Employees give lectures on the nature of sound, silencing, and heat and energy, and everybody carries out experiments.
Community Welfare

Donations to NGOs（India）
Since 2018, we have been making donations to NGOs with the aim of providing material support to impoverished areas. In the fiscal year 2024, through our donation to the NGO "Hand in Hand India," the activities that had been ongoing since 2022—including the renovation of a kindergarten, the construction of toilets, and the building of a community hall—were completed.

Donations to United Way（Canada）
Futaba has made donations to the NPO United Way since 2020 aimed mainly at support for the elderly, people with disabilities, victims of abuse, low-income people, young people and immigrants. The company donates the same amount as donations by FIO(Canada) employees for employees and the company to contribute together.
